Mindset while Training…

The mindset a person has can greatly determine the impact a tap or a rolling session might have on a person. For many getting tapped out while rolling is a major disappointment and represents weakness in your jiu jitsu.

While one might think “I suck” or “f&@k this” or any variety of negative talk, some one with the mindset of “okay, what can I do to get better?” is going to eventually surpass in skill the person of the previous negative talking mindset.

We might get mad or discouraged or experience number of personal feelings which can infect the mindset.

To change our mindset or our subconscious mind 7 habitual emotions need to be repeatedly used throughout life.

Faith, desire, love, romance, sex, hope, and enthusiasm are the 7 emotions, according to Napoleon Hill, if we master and only allow these emotions to exist in our minds. Can and will greatly change our lives and mindset.

While Napoleon Hill stated in his book Think and Grow Rich, that faith is the most integral to success.

Paul spoke of the importance of Love and how if we live with love day to day we will be better people. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

-Corinthians 13:13

So if we live with faith in our religion, mine being in Jesus Christ, and the faith in our own abilities. Living with love in our hearts for others; including our training partners. Our training partners fight with us bleed with us die with us and win with us.

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your powers you cannot be successful or happy.” A great quote of faith in ourselves and a great mindset to have.
