Visitors come to OKC BJJ and more belt promotions…

This next few weeks, there will be a pack full of black belts and brown belts coming from various academies to Lovato’s OKC BJJ academy. Xande Ribeiro will be heading to Lovato’s School of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA to train with OKC BJJ fighters Rafael Lovato Jr. and Justin Rader for their ADCC grappling tournament. Xande Ribeiro is a decorated BJJ and submission grappler, and has won numerous World championships both gi and nogi. Johannes Wieth will also be visiting Lovato’s all the way from Germany. He finished 2nd place at the 2011 World Jiu Jitsu Championships in brown belt adult division.

Matt Jubera from Dark Horse BJJ. He will also be bringing UFC veteran Elliot Marshall with him to the OKC BJJ academy. All of them will be preparing for the American National Gi and Nogi championships or the ADCC grappling championships on September 24 and 25.

There has been some additional promotions as well. Jarett Watters has been promoted to purple belt by OKC BJJ professor Rafael Lovato Jr. Congratulations to Team Lovato’s Wichita Falls members JH Wooldridge and Joel Maguire for receiving their blue belts. Griffin Phillips and Jared Dopps have been awarded a stripe for their blue belts. Again, congratulations to the OKC BJJ students from Wichita Falls, TX.
